Four resident taxpayers including a Charter Commission leader, a
candidate for City Council currently, a retired City employee and
JML. After meeting the others at the table and reviewing the
operation of a conversational approach to learning more about
CIVICS in a City, we found a common interest and expertise I
housing that revealed the Federal threats to HUD subsidy
properties in the City, to the people who may depend on Social
Security payments, and Medicaid/Medicare assistance.
Thousands of neighbors may be fearful or feel threatened. Where
do they look for assistance? What is missing from municipal
oversight, accountability from boards and commissions, and
transparent communication to citizens?

We are looking at HOUSING as a subject of interest today from many viewpoints, and attempting to put our knowledge and experiences together as the people of the community are brought to center stage for caring consideration as they seek opportunities to provide shelter to their families in a fair manner. Housing may consider the City residents who are currently unhoused or homeless as well as those whose home is owned and is a shelter for a lifetime as well as a source of wealth at life's end for one generation to pass to descendants as they may direct.
